Peer Support Services
You are more than your past, your circumstances, or the challenges you're facing today. You are a person with value, strengths, experiences, and possibilities that deserve to be recognized.
At I AM THE BRAND, we understand that no two journeys are alike. That's why our approach begins with you—your story, your needs, your goals, and where you want to go from here. Through personalized peer support, encouragement, advocacy, and practical tools, we help you identify your strengths, navigate life's challenges, and take meaningful steps toward greater confidence and independence.
You don't have to fit into a program. Support should meet you where you are. Your voice matters. Your experiences matter. YOU MATTER. Let's discover the support that fits your journey and build forward—together.
Your story matters. Your support should, too.
Support That Meets
You Where You Are
Every journey comes with different challenges, goals, and opportunities for growth. You may be working to rebuild confidence, strengthen relationships, navigate community resources, or develop the skills to manage everyday life more independently.
Our peer support approach brings lived experience, encouragement, advocacy, and practical guidance together to help you identify your strengths and work toward goals that matter to you. Whether you're navigating a life transition or simply trying to determine your next step, we focus on helping you build the tools, confidence, and connections to move forward.
This isn't about telling you who to be. It's about helping you recognize what you're capable of becoming.
At I AM THE BRAND, we believe meaningful progress begins with understanding where you are and building from there—one goal, one step, and one breakthrough at a time.
What Is Peer Support?
Peer support is a supportive relationship built on mutual respect, encouragement, shared understanding, and the belief that people can move forward with the right tools and support.
A Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) draws on relevant lived experience and peer support training to help individuals recognize their strengths, explore their options, set goals, and navigate challenges.
Peer support is not about telling you how to live, making decisions for you, or defining your journey. It is about walking alongside you as you discover what works for you.
Our approach emphasizes:
- Understanding without judgment
- Strengths-based encouragement
- Person-centered goal setting
- Self-advocacy and informed decision-making
- Practical life skills and problem-solving
- Community connection and resource navigation
- Confidence, accountability, and self-sufficiency
Peer Support Services are not a substitute for therapy, medical care, or other licensed clinical services. A Peer Support Specialist does not diagnose conditions or provide clinical treatment.
Who Is Peer Support For?
Peer Support Services are designed for eligible individuals who may benefit from connecting with someone who understands life's challenges through lived experience and can offer encouragement, practical tools, and support in working toward personally meaningful goals.
Peer support may help individuals who are navigating:
- Self-Esteem & Identity: Recognizing personal strengths, rebuilding confidence, and developing a healthier sense of self.
- Emotional Wellness & Daily Life Challenges: Building practical skills for navigating stress, difficult emotions, and everyday challenges.
- Life Transitions: Adjusting to changes, identifying personal priorities, and developing strategies to move forward.
- Relationships & Communication: Strengthening communication, boundaries, problem-solving, and healthy connections.
- Past Experiences & Personal Growth: Understanding how life experiences affect the present while building skills to move toward future goals.
- Community & Resource Navigation: Identifying resources, accessing support, and learning to advocate for personal needs.
- Independence & Self-Sufficiency: Building confidence in decision-making, daily living, and personal responsibility.
Peer Support Services are non-clinical and person-centered. Services offered through Medicaid are subject to applicable eligibility, service criteria, authorization, and program requirements.
Our Signature Brand Methodology
01
ACKNOWLEDGE
Recognize your worth. Honor your truth.
Growth begins when you have space to recognize where you are without being defined by it. We encourage you to identify your strengths, acknowledge your challenges, and recognize that your voice and experiences matter.
02
ACCEPT
Own your story. Make room for growth.
Acceptance does not mean approving of everything you've experienced. It means recognizing your story without allowing the past to determine every possibility for your future. Through reflection, strengths-based encouragement, and practical skill-building, you can begin to move forward with greater clarity and purpose.
03
ACTIVATE
Turn insight into intentional action.
Progress takes action. We support you as you identify meaningful goals, explore available resources, strengthen daily living skills, and develop practical steps toward greater independence and self-sufficiency.
ACKNOWLEDGE → ACCEPT → ACTIVATE
This is the foundation of our empowerment-centered approach. It reflects our commitment to helping people recognize their worth, take ownership of their next steps, and build forward with intention. When Medicaid-funded peer support is provided, services remain guided by applicable program requirements and the individual's authorized service plan.
Individual & Group Support
Every person's journey is different. Depending on the services available and your eligibility, support may be offered in individual or group settings.
Individual Peer Support
One-on-one support focused on your personal goals, strengths, challenges, and next steps. Work collaboratively on practical skills, self-advocacy, resource navigation, and strategies that support your progress.
Group Peer Support
A supportive space for shared learning, encouragement, connection, and skill-building. Participants can explore common challenges, learn from different perspectives, and build a sense of community in a respectful environment.
Specific service formats, schedules, and availability depend on the program, individual eligibility, and applicable service requirements.
